Every chair is flat. The bottom of your spine isn’t.
Sit down and your weight funnels into three small points: two sitting bones and the tailbone between them. On a flat seat, the tailbone ends up carrying load it was never shaped to carry — and it doesn’t take hours. Most people feel it inside one.
